How to insert Web URL

- Select a button and right click the mouse to select Actions:

- This will display Action Panel.

- Double click on it to get URL. For example, you can type the http://mail.mymailsk.com inside the URL textbox

- Close the window

- Choose control, then click on text movie to test your button.

- Click on the button and will be brought to the site as pointed by the web URL.

To compress Sound for Export

- To choose sound compression options, you can use the options in the Export Settings area of the Sound Properties dialog box. The options available depend on the compression method you select. You can also use the Sound Properties dialog box to update sounds that you have modified in an external sound editor, or to test the sound.


- Select a sound in the Library window and click the properties icon at the bottom of the Library window.

- This will display the Sound Properties dialog box.

- It will display the sound file type and its size.

- Choose MP3 from the compression pop up list.

- You can change the compression type to mp3. It will display the file size as1.3kb (size before compression is 55.7 kb).

- Click Update button to update the setting. Click OK button to close the window.

- Sound Panel allows you to add sound effect to the movie. You can also edit the sound

- Select the from layer

- Choose window menu, go to panel, then click on sound to open the sound panel

- Sound Panel displays sound information. Select one of the effects from the drop down list.

- Left Channel/Right Channel plays sound in the left or right channel only

- Fade Left to Right/Fade Right to Left shifts the sound from one channel to the other

- Fade In gradually increases the amplitude of a sound over its duration

- Fade Out gradually decreases the amplitude of a sound over its duration.

- Left Channel/Right Channel plays sound in the left or right channel only

- Fade Left to Right/Fade Right to Left shifts the sound from one channel to the other

- Choose a synchronization option from the Sync pop- up menu:

- Start is the same as Event, except that if the sound is already playing, a new instance of the sound is started.

- Stop silences the specified sound.

- Stream synchronizes the sound for playing on a Web site. Flash forces animation to keep pace with stream sounds.

- To add sound to movie, first you must insert sound file to Flash, which supported WAV

and MP3 sound file type.

- Choose file menu, click on import-to-import sound file.

- Then the sound will be stored in the library.

- You can click the Play button to hear the sound.

- Select the layer where you want to add sound

- Drag the sound to stage and then the layer will be added a sound like this:

- Play the movie and you will hear the sound.

  • When you scale, rotate, skew instances, groups, and type with the Transform panel, Flash saves the original size and rotation values with the object. Thus, you can remove the last transformation applied and restore the original values.

- Select the object and rotate it and scale the object size

- Choose modify menu, go to transform, then click on remove transform

- Choose control menu, then, click on test movie

- This will display your movie in the Test Movie window.

- Choose insert menu, then click on new symbols

- Then select Button from the Symbol Properties:

  • The layer will display as shown below. ‘UP’ means that at the time the button is released, ‘OVER’ means at the time the mouse is over the button, ‘DOWN’ means at the time clicking on the mouse. Hit defines the area that will respond to the mouse click. This area is invisible in the movie.

  • Draw a rectangle to stage and then click on the second frame, labeled Over, and choose Insert menu then click on Keyframe

- Change the color of rectangle:

- Click the third frame, labeled Down, and choose Insert menu then click on Keyframe

- Then resize the rectangle:

- Click the labeled Hit frame, and choose Insert menu, then click on Keyframe

- Change the color of button

- Return to scene 1 by clicking on the Scene 1

  • Choose window menu, click on library to display library.

  • The button will be stored in the library.

  • Drag it to the stage

- Choose control menu, then click on enable simple button

- Now move over the button and click. You will see the button work:

- Select the object and then convert the object to symbol

- Choose insert menu then, click on convert to symbol

- Then select the frame 10. Right click the mouse and select Insert Keyframe:

- Select Motion from the drop down list and click OK button from the Frame Panel (if frame panel does not exist, choose window menu , go to panels, then click on frame)

- Select the frame 10. Select Tint from the Effect Panel

- Select the blue color. Select 100% as the tint amount. Click OK button

- Play the movie and you will see the object is changing its color to blue

- Select the object and then convert the object to symbol

  • Choose insert menu then click on convert to symbol

- Select the frame 10. Right click the mouse to select Insert Keyframe

- Select the frame 1 and choose window menu, go to panels then click on frame

- This will display the Frame Panel. Select ‘Motion’ from the drop down list:

- Select the frame 10. Select the brightness from the Effect Panel.

    This will display the brightness option. Select 100% and Brightness from the drop down boxes.

- Play the movie and you will see the cycle is getting transparency

- Tweening motion along the path means that the object can move by following a line

- Select the object and then choose insert menu then click on convert to symbols

- Then choose the graphic. Click OK

- Select the frame 10 and right click the mouse to select Insert Frame:

- Then choose insert menu then click on create motion tween

- Select the object and drag it to the right or anywhere:

- Select the layer 1 and right click the mouse to select Add Motion Guide

- The Motion Guide has been added to the frame. Select the frame 1

- Use the Line Tool or Pencil Tool to draw a line from the cycle to anywhere:

- Play the movie and the cycle will be moving by following the line:
